For the second consecutive year, the Oaks punched their ticket to the national tournament — and this time they went even further. After finishing 5th in the nation last season in the program’s first-ever appearance, Salem came back hungrier and stronger, finishing 3rd in the country for the first time in school history.
The third-place game was nothing short of a thriller. In a tight battle with Dallas College North Lake, the Mighty Oaks pulled off a one-point victory, sealed by a clutch three-pointer from Idris Rines when it mattered most.
Back-to-back national appearances.
A historic jump from 5th to 3rd in the nation.
And another unforgettable chapter for the Mighty Oaks.
The program keeps rising.
